JOB SUMMARY


Scope of Position

The Sales Reporting System Analyst position is responsible for working with the Revenue Management team to accurately generate and process all reports that are communicated to key stakeholders. Prepare data reports, including but not limited to revenue data, booking analysis, submitting accurate reports in a timely manner while working to enhance automation efforts. Overseeing the sales inventory management system to optimize function space inventory management to maximize straight line availability to support the Group Sales, Catering Sales, and Event Management Teams, in booking new business opportunities.


Responsibilities

  • Data pulling, exporting, reporting, and analyzing the data.
  • Daily function space inventory management to include space busting, maintaining straight line availability, as well as proactive space moves for definite business.
  • Works with Team to determine effective optimizing of function space and data analysis.
  • Understands the working relationship between sales, reservations, and property management systems.
  • Participates in group projections review meetings.
  • Shares and assists in preparing materials for the weekly Revenue Management meetings and follows the property guidelines for meeting content.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as Sales/Revenue Analyst or 2 years’ experience in a related area.
  • Ability to gather and organize information using a logical and systematic process; recognize patterns and relationships in complex data.
  • Knowledge of total hotel revenue management concepts, processes, and strategies (including sales cycles and trends, account management, pricing, and inventory management).
  • Proven experience in analysis and problem solving required.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities under time constraints is key to the success of this individual.
  • Marriott International experience preferred.


Education

  • 2-year degree from an accredited university; 2 years’ experience as an analyst in revenue, sales and marketing, or related professional area.

OR

  • 4-year bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Finance and Accounting, Economics, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major.


Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to communicate in the English language. Second language is a plus.
  • Ability to collect, evaluate and interpret varied data, evaluate alternatives, and reach sound conclusions.
  • Ability to see the bigger picture, critical thinking with a need to optimize to max results.
  • Ability to use word processing, graphics, spreadsheet, and database programs to develop reports, databases, and communications materials.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects and meet critical deadlines.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends.
